Investor interest in Value-Up Exchange Traded Funds (ETFs) in South Korea is declining due to political uncertainty and unresolved issues of the Korea Discount. The average daily trading volume of the ‘KODEX Korea Value-Up’ ETF has decreased by 97.68% since its launch last November. The lack of participation from companies in Value-Up disclosures and the focus on short-term shareholder returns are seen as obstacles to resolving the Korea Discount. The market capitalization of KOSPI and KOSDAQ is now lower than that of Apple in the United States.
