The North Chungcheong Innovation Council, an external organization of the Democratic Party in South Korea, has begun an indefinite hunger strike demanding the immediate dismissal of President Yoon Seok-yeol. The group has set up protest tents in Cheongju and Chungju, vowing to continue the hunger strike until the Constitutional Court dismisses President Yoon. In response, the People’s Power Party of North Chungcheong Province criticized the Democratic Party’s actions, pledging to prioritize local issues and people’s livelihoods.
