The Incheon Port Authority (IPA) held a meeting with the Incheon branch of the Korea Electrical Contractors Association to discuss ways to increase local construction company participation in the ‘Incheon New Port Phase 1-2 Container Terminal Construction Project’. The project, which is fully automated to accommodate increasing container traffic, includes electrical work worth approximately 20 billion won. The IPA is considering expanding local company participation by applying its own standard of over 49% local company share rate, beyond the 30% stipulated by the National Contract Act.
