Hyundai Motor Group plans to apply ‘Level 2+ (Plus)’ autonomous driving technology to mass-produced vehicles by 2027. This technology, similar to Tesla’s Full Self-Driving, combines AI and advanced sensors to minimize driver intervention. Hyundai developed ‘AtriaAI’ for this purpose, which improves driving performance by processing data from cameras and radars through AI deep learning. Hyundai also announced its mobility software brand ‘Ploes’, which plays a key role in Software-Defined Vehicles (SDV) and will be applied to new cars from Q2 2023. The company also launched the ‘Next Urban Mobility Alliance (NUMA)’ to address urban transportation challenges through public-private cooperation.
