The Gyeongnam Agricultural Technology Institute has developed a technology to improve the marketability and storability of strawberries for export. The new method reduces damage by 18% by harvesting strawberries with over 70% color development and using single-layer harvesting containers. The institute also found that using mobile pre-cooling trucks for transportation extends the strawberries’ storability by more than three days.
