South Korean AI semiconductor design company, FuriosaAI, has signed a business agreement with the city of Gwangju, home to the National AI Data Center. FuriosaAI, which specializes in the development of AI inference computing chips for data center servers, plans to open a liaison office in Gwangju and proceed with chip verification work. The company, valued at around 800 billion won, had previously declined an acquisition offer from Meta for 800 million dollars.
