Gyeonggi Province in South Korea is to provide KRW 50bn ($42m) in emergency special management funds to small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) affected by US tariffs. The initiative, the first of its kind in the country, will support SMEs that have been directly or indirectly impacted in their exports by the tariffs. Each eligible company can receive up to KRW 500m, with a loan period of five years, and an interest rate 2.5% lower than standard bank rates.
