South Korea has seen a continuous increase in the consumer price inflation rate, now in the 2% range for three months. The prices of processed foods have particularly increased, with a 3.6% rise, the largest since December 2023. The government has announced an additional investment of 30 billion won to discount prices of agricultural, livestock, and fishery products and to freeze public utility fees in the first half of the year.
