Food companies in South Korea have been raising prices of items such as bread, coffee, ramen, and hamburgers, leading to a continuous upward trend in the consumer price inflation rate, which has been in the 2% range for three months. The increase in prices of processed foods, including a 15.3% rise in kimchi prices, 8.3% in coffee, and 6.3% in bread, has contributed to a 0.3 percentage point rise in the overall inflation rate.
