LG Electronics is adjusting its refrigerator production volume for the US market at its Vietnam Haiphong factory due to the expiration of the mutual tariff suspension by the Trump administration in July. The company will reduce the volume of refrigerators exported to the US from Vietnam, and instead increase production at its Monterrey factory in Mexico. This is in response to the US government’s 46% tariff on Vietnam, while Mexico benefits from a lower 25% tariff under the US-Mexico-Canada Trade Agreement (USMCA).
