Around 400,000 minor shareholders under the age of 20 hold Samsung Electronics stocks, accounting for 7.65% of total shareholders, according to the Korea Securities Depository’s securities information portal SEIBro. These shareholders own approximately 0.33% of the total issued shares, worth about 1.053 trillion and 567.59 million won. The number of minor shareholders in Samsung Electronics has increased about 22 times from 18,301 at the end of 2019, due to the stock investment boom after the pandemic and the lowering of the investment age group.
