The Ministry of Science and ICT held the 11th Laboratory Startup Exploration Education Launch Ceremony at Korea University, attended by 300 participants including representatives from universities, innovation groups, and startup teams. The ministry announced the start of education for 110 selected preliminary laboratory startup exploration teams for the 2025 Public Technology-Based Market-Linked Startup Exploration Support Project. This project, based on the U.S. NSF I-Corps methodology, aims to rapidly disseminate research outcomes from laboratories to the market, and has resulted in the creation of 2,820 new jobs and attracted follow-on investments of 617.4 billion won since 2015.
